FACIAL SURGERY
Facial surgery remains one of the most popular forms of cosmetic
surgery performed in the UK every year.
Whether you are unhappy about the ageing process or whether you
are suffering from premature lines and wrinkles due to excessive
sun exposure, smoking or hereditary factors, facial surgery can
help recreate the natural, youthful and fresh appearance you
desire.
From your very first consultation, Ramsay Surgeons will provide
first class information and advice to help you identify the
treatment most suitable for your personal requirements. You will
also be given time to reflect upon your decision before any
agreement to provide surgery takes place.
FACE LIFT SURGERY
Face lift surgery (rhytidectomy) can be performed
singularly or in combination with other procedures to remove slack
facial skin and any unwanted fatty deposits. The surgeon makes
small incisions within the hair line and extending to the earlobe
to allow access to loose facial muscle. Slack skin is precisely and
meticulously removed and the remaining skin carefully sutured back
into place to create newly defined features and a smoother, overall
more youthful appearance.
NOSE RESHAPING
Nose
reshaping (rhinoplasty) is often performed on customers who have
spent many years feeling self conscious about their profile,
bridge, nasal tap or nostril area. Through the surgical refining of
the nasal bone and cartilage, Consultant Plastic Surgeons are able
to create an improved nose shape more in proportion - and harmony -
with the other dimensions of the face and bone structure.
EYE BAG REMOVAL
The fragile skin around the eye margin is frequently the
first to be effected by ageing and sun damage. Loose, lined and
puffy-looking skin can result in customers looking tired and jaded
even when rested. Eye bag removal (blepharoplasty) can be performed
on either the upper lid; to remove loose or hanging skin, or on the
lower lid; to remove the fatty deposits that result in ‘eye bags’.
A blepharoplasty procedure will create a noticeably brighter and
more youthful eye area without leaving obvious signs that surgery
has taken place.
EAR CORRECTION
It is now
widely accepted that ear correction surgery (otoplasty) can be of
significant assistance to those who might otherwise suffer
psychological damage throughout their childhood and into adult life
as a result of protruding or irregular shaped ears. It involves the
surgical refining of the size, shape and / or position of the ear
and has become one of the most commonly performed cosmetic
procedures provided to children.
LASER RESURFACING
In recent years, laser resurfacing has become one of the
safest and most effective methods of treating facial lines,
wrinkles and blotchy skin as well as improving the skin tone,
contour and texture of acne, injury or chicken pox scars.
The laser resurfacing process strips away damaged cells to make
way for new cells to form, thus removing the need for incisions and
subsequent scarring. This procedure can involve either the whole
face (performed under general anaesthetic), or smaller isolated
areas of skin (under local anaesthetic).
