THE HARMONY® LASER SYSTEM
The Harmony® Laser System is a multipurpose treatment
platform which treats a number of common conditions.
The Pixel® laser resurfaces the skin in a safe
effective way with reduced downtime on conventional skin
resurfacing techniques. It can treat aging skin, acne scarring, and
sun damaged skin to give a fresher and smoother appearance after
just 4 treatments. Patients will experience subtle warmth as the
laser pulses and a mild sunburn sensation is normal afterwards with
redness lasting a couple of days. Cool air is delivered during the
treatment to minimise any discomfort.
The Harmony® AFT IPL system improves pigmented skin,
discoloration, sun damaged skin, and age spots on many areas
including the hands, face, neck and shoulders. The light will
target the pigment and gradually reduce the dark appearance.
Texture is also improved by stimulating collagen and elastin
thereby creating a smoother, firmer complexion. The treatment is
comfortable with no downtime. A slight redness and feeling of
warmth may be experienced. In most cases a course of treatments is
usually required.
Acne is treated with light pulses which destroy bacteria on the
skin reducing inflammation. It is a safe and comfortable treatment
with minimal downtime. It gives remission from acne and most
patients will achieve reduction in severity and frequency in
outbreaks after a course of 10 treatments twice weekly.
The Harmony® laser also treat vascular lesions, it
destroys blood vessels by sending pulses of light into the vessel
to shrink it. The areas that can be treated are facial thread
veins, rocasea, red spots and flushed skin. Treatment is
recommended every 3 weeks. Unsightly leg veins can also be treated
using the ND Yag1064 which shrinks the vessels by destroying them
with heat. Reduction usually occurs after a course of 3-5
treatments.
